Our own production facilities in Hungary and India, together with 15 international warehouse locations, ensure high availability and reliable delivery worldwide. 1969: Company founded by Ludwig Obwieser
1976: Start of in-house production at the company headquarters in Pill
1986: Establishment of the sales company in Germany, marking the start of global expansion
1994: Opening of the production facility in Pásztó, Hungary
2001: Opening of the production facility in China
2015: Opening of the production facility in India
2016: Launch of the Smart Lights range
2017: Expansion of the Hungarian site with additional warehouse and production capacity
2019: Launch of the fan range and the EGLO Online Shop
2020: Acquisition of Star Trading in Sweden and expansion of the range to include Christmas lighting
2020: Acquisition of AwoX SAS in France and investment in the Smart Control segment
2021: Opening of the logistics centre in Magdeburg with storage capacity for around 74,000 pallets
2021: Acquisition of a stake in Bartenbach, Europe’s leading independent lighting design company
2022: Launch of EGLO Living and expansion of the range to include home accessories and decorative items
2023: Opening of EGLO Lichtwelten, Europe’s largest lighting showroom
