Easily retrofit your existing lights with smart technology

With Smart Home light bulbs from EGLO connect.z, you can make many of your existing lights smart in just a few simple steps. Instead of replacing the entire light, simply swap the existing bulb for a compatible smart LED bulb. This means you can continue using your favourite pendant lights, ceiling lights, table lamps, floor lamps or spotlights and integrate them into your Smart Home lighting.

The range includes smart light bulbs for the common E27, E14 and GU10 fittings. Depending on the version, you can adjust the brightness, shades of white and RGB colours. This makes retrofitting suitable for everything from functional task lighting to warm evening light and colourful lighting accents. Although these products are often referred to as smart bulbs, EGLO connect.z products use energy-efficient LED technology.

Which smart light bulb is right for which light?

The first thing to check is the existing fitting. E27 is the widely used screw fitting found in many ceiling, pendant, table and floor lights. The smaller E14 fitting is often used in compact table lights, bedside lamps, decorative lights and slim light designs. GU10 bulbs are mainly used in spotlights and recessed lights. You should also make sure that the shape, dimensions, luminous flux and desired lighting functions suit the light and its intended use.

E27 light bulbs: a wide choice for visible and functional lighting

EGLO connect.z offers its widest selection of shapes, light outputs and glass finishes for E27 light bulbs. Alongside the classic A60 bulb shape, Edison and globe shapes are available. This gives you both discreet options for enclosed shades and decorative versions that can remain visible in open fittings.

A60 and G95 with RGB+Tunable White and high light output

The classic A60 bulb delivers 1,300 lumens, while the large G95 globe delivers 1,600 lumens. Both models offer RGB+Tunable White with adjustable white light from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin and are dimmable. This lets you switch between warm, neutral and cooler shades of white or use coloured light. With its large globe shape, the G95 is particularly suitable for lights where the bulb itself forms part of the design.

Milky matt E27 light bulbs with RGB+Warm White

For a softer, more even look, milky matt E27 light bulbs are available in A60, ST64, G80 and G95 shapes. All four models deliver 806 lumens, are dimmable and combine RGB colours with a fixed warm white light at 3,000 Kelvin. The selection ranges from the classic bulb shape and Edison style to globe bulbs in different sizes.

Clear E27 light bulbs with a decorative spiral design

If you want the bulb itself to remain visible, clear versions are available in A60, ST64, G80 and G95 shapes. The decorative spiral design is particularly striking through the clear glass. These models also deliver 806 lumens and combine dimmable RGB light with warm white light at 3,000 Kelvin. They are ideal for open pendant lights, table lights and lights with transparent or minimalist shades, for example.

Clear filament bulbs with Tunable White

The clear filament bulbs in A60, ST64, G80 and G95 shapes each deliver 1,055 lumens. Their Tunable White range extends from an especially warm 2,200 Kelvin to a cooler 6,500 Kelvin. This retains the classic filament look while allowing you to adjust the light colour flexibly to the time of day, activity and mood. These versions focus on adjustable white light and do not feature RGB colours.

Amber vintage light bulbs from A60 to G125

For a particularly decorative vintage look, amber E27 light bulbs are available in A60, ST64, G80, G95 and G125 shapes. All models deliver 806 lumens and offer Tunable White from 2,200 to 6,500 Kelvin. The warm amber glass and visible spiral design create distinctive accents in open fittings and homely lights. With its large G125 shape, the smart light bulb itself becomes an eye-catching feature.

E14 light bulbs for smaller and decorative lights

For more compact lights, EGLO connect.z offers an E14 bulb in a small drop shape with 530 lumens. It combines RGB and Tunable White from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin and is dimmable. Despite its smaller size, you still have the full choice between coloured light and different shades of white. The range is complemented by two amber vintage models with a black base detail and spiral filament design. The P45 and C35 shapes each deliver 470 lumens and offer Tunable White from 2,200 to 6,500 Kelvin. They are particularly suitable for smaller open lights where the glass shape and lighting effect make a visible contribution to the interior.

GU10 light bulbs for spotlights and recessed lights

With smart GU10 light bulbs, you can integrate existing spotlights into your EGLO connect.z system. Two versions with 420 lumens and a 45-degree beam angle are available for directional lighting: one with RGB+Tunable White and one with Tunable White. Both cover a white-light range from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin and are dimmable.

GU10 with a 120-degree beam angle for wider light distribution

The GU10 version with a classic glass look delivers 345 lumens, RGB+Tunable White from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin and a particularly wide beam angle of 120 degrees. While 45-degree bulbs focus the light more precisely, the 120-degree version distributes it across a wider area. Which option is more suitable depends on whether you want to highlight specific areas or illuminate a larger surface more evenly.

RGB, Warm White or Tunable White: choose the right lighting function

RGB+Tunable White combines coloured light with continuously adjustable shades of white. RGB+Warm White also offers a wide range of colours, complemented by a fixed warm white light at 3,000 Kelvin. Tunable White bulbs focus solely on adjustable white light. Depending on the model, the colour temperature ranges from 2,200 to 6,500 Kelvin or from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin. This lets you choose whether colourful scenes, particularly warm light or a broad spectrum of white tones are most important to you.

Practical sets with connect.z Switch or remote control

For an easy introduction to smart lighting, practical sets are available with smart light bulbs and a compatible control. The E27 sets each contain two light bulbs, while the GU10 sets contain three. Depending on the version, either the connect.z Switch or the connect.z remote control is included. This allows you to retrofit and directly control several existing lights together.

LED Puck for retrofitting GU10 recessed lights

The Smart LED Puck expands your options for retrofitting recessed lights. With a diameter of 50 millimetres, it matches the typical diameter of conventional GU10 bulbs. At 46 millimetres high, it can therefore be used in many common and suitably sized GU10 recessed lights. This means existing recessed spotlights can also be integrated into your smart lighting or added to an existing installation. The LED Puck delivers 440 lumens and offers RGB+Tunable White from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin. Brightness, coloured light and shades of white can all be adjusted to suit the situation. Particularly when using several recessed lights, this creates a consistently controllable lighting solution without having to replace the entire lighting system.

Control Smart Home light bulbs flexibly and integrate them via Zigbee

EGLO connect.z light bulbs can be controlled via the connect.z Smart Home app, remote control or connect.z Switch. With the remote control and Switch, no app or additional hub is required. Using the app, you can group and dim light bulbs and adjust their light colour, among other functions. As Zigbee light bulbs, the smart bulbs can be integrated into other compatible Smart Home systems and connected to open, compatible Zigbee hubs. This allows you to retrofit your favourite existing lights with smart bulbs and integrate them into a networked lighting system together with other compatible Smart Home products. The fitting, shape and technical dimensions of the bulb must always be suitable for the existing light.

Matter light bulbs for compatible Smart Home systems

Selected EGLO connect.z light bulbs support Matter, allowing them to be integrated into compatible Smart Home systems. Matter support depends on the individual product and does not apply to all connect.z light bulbs. When choosing an E27, E14 or GU10 bulb, check whether the specific product is labelled as Matter-compatible.
